10 Downing Street
What is it like to visit the home of the British Prime Minister? It's a pretty special experience and I've had the honour of going twice!
I first visited 10 Downing Street in September 2015, when I was asked to be the guest speaker at a reception for the MS Society, being hosted by the then Prime Minster's wife Samantha Cameron. I was asked to speak about the future of volunteering, having recently been awarded the MS Society's Volunteer of the Year Award, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing for my advocacy work, and been named a Woman of Achievement by the Women of the Year Foundation.

It was an amazing experience and whilst I was really nervous, I had to keep pinching myself to check it was real!

My second visit was equally as special because this time I got to take my Mum. She remembers visiting Downing Street in the 1950/60s when she first moved to the UK. That was when there was no security and it was like an ordinary street. But she'd obviously never been inside No.10 and I felt incredibly proud to have her accompany me to another MS Society reception, all about the progress in MS research. This time the reception was hosted by the then Prime Minister, Theresa May, who also has a personal connection to MS. It was another dreamlike experience and one that I will treasure forever!
